Cindy and Scott Echols

Owners

The Echols are as local as you get to Cumming. The family has strong ties to Cumming and still resides and lives within this great community.  They are proud parents to five amazing kids, one precious grandson and their Dutch Shepherd, Coffee.

While vacationing in Europe, the Echols' travels took them to Switzerland. While enjoying the amazing cuisines of the area,  the Echols stumbled on the Steak on a Stone experience after three consecutive and independent recommendations from locals.  One bite and they were hooked, they knew they had to bring this amazing cuisine home.  They are so proud to offer this unique dining experience to Cumming City Center.   You'll see the Echols at Tin Cup most days as they love meeting our great guests.

Chef John

John Soilis

Executive Chef

Chef John brings over 25 years of culinary experience to Tin Cup along with a genuine passion for local cuisine. A native of South Africa, Chef John came to the states as a young adult, and immediately found a love for food working in kitchens. From there, he attended culinary school at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY where he expanded his knowledge working in some of the top restaurants in the country. He is also a local resident of Cumming. His enthusiasm and love of food is infectious and he lights up when he has an opportunity to share it with others. When he is not in the kitchen, you can find him working in his home garden, hiking with his wife and kids, and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs.
